Report to present the findings of the Habitat Evaluation Procedure (HEP) survey conducted by the Regional HEP team.

Rule 1: If you are preparing HEP reports for multiple locations, you may lump these under a single work element. However, you may wish to break the work into separate work elements if it provides clarity or better supports project management.

Example:

Option 1 (lumping)

WE: Prepare HEP Report
WE Title: Prepare HEP report for Thompson Unit, which includes Bradley, Greene, and Douglas properties.

Option 2 (splitting)

WE: Prepare HEP Report
WE Title: Prepare HEP report for Bradley property.

WE: Prepare HEP Report
WE Title: Prepare HEP report for Greene property.

WE: Prepare HEP Report
WE Title: Prepare HEP report for Douglas property.

• Prepare cover type maps
• Assist HEP Team with survey
• Obtain HEP data from Regional HEP team
• Perform analysis on HEP data
• Submit draft HEP report to BPA for review
• Upload final HEP report to BPA-s website

Location Guidance

Identify point at approximate center of parcel where Prepare HEP Report took place. The location point must be the same for all associated TBL Work, Conduct Pre-Acquisition Activities, Land Audit, and Land Purchase work elements. If an associated work element and its location are already in Pisces, click the "Link" button to synchronize locations. Applicability and status of the following environmental compliance requirements can be found on the Environmental Compliance tab for that work element in your SOW for all 2007 contracts forward. Note: Many of the fields are set to auto-load in Pisces, but the settings will be reviewed by BPA's Environmental staff prior to the contract being finalized, and may be revised depending on the specific circumstances.

ESA consultation is typically not required for this work element.

Public involvement is typically not required for this work element.

• Typically, the acquisition of land or conservation easements will be covered by an internal BPA work element, WE#5, Land Purchase.
• The development of a land management plan should be covered under WE# 174, Produce Plan.
