BPA Interconnection of the Proposed Kittitas Valley Wind Farm

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
BPA has been asked by Sagebrush Power Partners, LLC (Sagebrush), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Horizon Wind Energy LLC, to interconnect up to 108 megawatts of electricity generated from the proposed Kittitas Valley Wind Project in Kittitas County, Wash. to the Federal Columbia River Transmission System. Sagebrush would independently build, own and operate the wind project and their associated facilities.

CURRENT STATUS:
BPA has issued a tiered Record of Decision (ROD) under the Business Plan Environmental Impact Statement, approving the interconnection request, including new transmission facilities to be constructed in fall 2009.
